Many Web Developers curse Internet Explorer... why? Because we spend a number of hours building websites that conform to the World Wide Web standards, using all the latest recommended style-guide formats, and then we spend the same amount of time again finding work-arounds and hacks to make a perfectly good web page display correctly in IE! I don't want to speculate about the reasons why this is so, but web users are guaranteed a more pleasant experience if you download Firefox for PC or Mac; or Mac users can just switch to Safari (already on your computer if you are using OSX).
